Nordic Interior Studio was founded on a simple conviction: that the homes we inhabit should feel as considered and calm as the landscapes that inspired them. Our founder, Ingrid Lund, spent a decade working in architecture practices across Stockholm and Oslo before returning to create an independent studio with a singular focus.
The studio was built for apartment living specifically. Not grand residences with unlimited volume, but the real constraints of urban space — where every decision compounds, and restraint is not a limitation but a design strategy. This precision is what drives us.
Since 2018, we have transformed over ninety apartments across Scandinavia and beyond, working with clients who share a belief that quality of space directly shapes quality of life.

Ingrid Lund
FOUNDER & LEAD DESIGNER
With a background in architecture from KTH Stockholm and ten years across leading Nordic practices, Ingrid founded the studio to bring rigorous spatial thinking to the intimacy of apartment living. Her approach balances structural clarity with a warmth drawn from natural materials.
Erik Strand
SENIOR DESIGN COLLABORATOR
Erik brings a material specialist's eye to every project, having spent years consulting on sustainable sourcing across Scandinavia. He oversees furniture specification, finish selection, and the subtle craft decisions that separate a beautiful room from a lived-in one.
Maja Björk
CLIENT & PROJECT LEAD
Maja manages the journey from first conversation to final installation, ensuring clients feel informed and confident at every stage. Her background in architecture and client relations means she bridges the studio's creative vision with the realities of each individual project.
